Description

“Trap – Trap” is a Photographic Thematic Work by Hanioti photographer Spyros Zervoudakis through which everyday people and water creatures observe and observe…

« Trap »

«… Looking at the images of the “Trap”, immersed in the dark background, one “hears” the hum of watery silence, discerns the constant movement and change in the fluid and without clear outlines forms, constantly wonders about what is happening and where and, most importantly, comes to the place of the “incarcerated” even involuntarily.

A series of black and white images, “clean”, without any digital processing, invite us to a journey into the unreal universe where aquatic gods accept human sacrifices, humans appear as if by magic in places one would not expect, breathe under water, become weightless, visually confront turtles, touch octopuses, dream, but also star in the dreams of others…” (N.Karakatsani)

The project started in 2008 at the Amsterdam Aquarium and continued in the following years in the aquariums of Copenhagen, Frankfurt and Heraklion.
