A True Cretan Story &#8211; Tasos Dourountakis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A historical narrative that describes the chronicle of a family from Madares in Sfakia, Crete and its final resettlement on the northern coast of the island, through turbulent historical circumstances.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are the testimonies of a young man who has always viewed the world with the poetic sensitivity of a young child, sometimes philosophical or melancholic, but always strong and restrained.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The narrator, reminiscing about the past, leads us through the paths of a wonderful landscape, where every turn holds a new surprise, a new way of looking at the world, overflowing with human warmth, a deep understanding and vitality.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  Tasos Dourountakis was born in Gerani, Chania. His first sounds were the noises from the German occupation. He finished the primary school of his village and two classes in the<sup>1st<\/sup> High School for Boys of Chania.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He became acquainted with a large part of Greece while serving his military service.
