Stefanos Gekas

Stefanos Gkekas was born in Thessaloniki in 1994.
She holds a degree in Media Production - Film Directing from Queen Margaret University of Edinburgh. He attended a masterclass with Werner Herzog at the Onassis Foundation.
He has directed, written and produced 5 short films that have a total of 4 awards, 6 nominations and have been screened in 30 participations in festivals. These include the Athens Film Festival (4 entries), the Drama Film Festival, the Los Angels Greek Film Festival, Jaipur International Film Festival, the FerFilm Festival, the DEA Film Festival and received the "Best New Director" award at the Athens Digital Film Festival.
He has directed 4 music videos, 2 commercials and 6 promotional videos for theatrical plays.
He lives in Athens where he works as a professor at IEK AKMI in the Department of Film Directing and Editing.
He also directs music videos, commercials and promotional videos for theatrical plays. He is currently writing his first feature film and is distributing his most recent short film.
