Ananya Mangesh Dupare
Ananya Mangesh Dupare created her two short films when she was a freshman. Through the first, she tried to bring to light the frequent occurrence of sexism faced by young women and the second is a documentary about the widespread issue of child labor and Indian activist Kailash Satyarthi who rightly fights against it.
The actors in her first film were her closest friends, even her dad! She loves making films about subjects she feels passionate about and her main goal as a director is to create a lasting impact on the viewer's mindset and emotions.
