Chania Film Festival (CFF) is an international film festival starting from Chania. An event that quickly became an institution with international collaborations, with invitations of creators, with many parallel events, with recognition and acceptance.
A film institution that aspires to host the best of the cinema, both from Greece and abroad. A creative, intrusive and above all restless institution. A meeting place for fiction, documentary, animation films. A celebration of the 7th art.
cineLessons are the educational activity of Chania Film Festival (CFF).
They began in 2001 and constitute a multilevel intervention in the field of audiovisual education at the level of Crete.
A network of educational activities addressed to the educational community, giving the opportunity to students and teachers.

The Chania Film Festival (CFF) is designed and organized by the non-profit organization "Cultural Society of Crete".
The Cultural Society of Crete was founded in 2002 with the aim of cultivating and promoting cultural, educational, educational, informative, artistic and related publishing activities.
Cinema and education have been at the heart of PEK's action since its foundation, with the cine courses being a constituent action of PEK. The Chania Film Festival (CFF) is a ripe fruit of the cinematic interventions and synergies of the Cultural Society of Crete.
Since its foundation, the Cultural Society of Crete has recorded a steady intervention in the field of culture and education, having developed a series of dozens of actions focusing on cinema, education, agrotourism, the Cretan diet, local history, sustainable development.
The monthly newspaper Compass of the City, the action Villages With Lights Open, the Panorama Festival of Chania, the cine-Histories, the educational action cineLessons, the research action Images of Professions that are lost, are among others interventions institutions for the Cultural Society of Crete and for its intervention space.

The seat of the Chania Film Festival (CFF) is the premises of the Cultural Center of Chania, which is also the co-organizer of the Festival. The facilities of the Cultural Center of Chania are located in the heart of Chania city.
The Center extends over four levels and has many spaces.
The large hall, with a capacity of about 500 seats, is a hall fully equipped in terms of lighting and sound installations. This hall is the main screening room of the festival.
Apart from that, there are 2 rooms of about 150 seats on the 2nd floor, with the necessary equipment for events, while on the 1st floor there is a conference room with a capacity of 50 people, with appropriate modern technological infrastructure.
These venues host the parallel events of the festival.
There is also an outdoor theater, outside the 2nd floor and a large outdoor area, in front of the building. Finally, the Center has dressing rooms in its basement.
