Summary:
A journey with the largest oceanographic ship in the world, Joides Resolution, with Greek and foreign researchers. On this trip, the scientific team attempts to explore the Columbo volcano, northeast of Santorini, which has been declared the most dangerous underwater volcano in Europe.
George Petropoulos
George Petropoulos is a director and producer.
He counts more than 20 years in television productions and has collaborated with the largest television networks in Greece and Europe.
For the last 15 years he has been creating documentaries of historical, scientific and cultural content.
It collaborates with most research institutions in Greece and abroad as well as with museums and organizations for the production of audiovisual material in order to disseminate scientific knowledge.
His most recent work deals with the largest underwater research ever carried out in Greece and more specifically in the volcanic center of Santorini. The research was conducted by the International Center for Ocean Exploration in collaboration with the National Kapodistrian University of Athens.
