The
True Stories / CRete Education Documentary Project (CR. E.DOC) is one of the educational programs of the Chania Film Festival for the creation of a film in a school environment.

The aim is the experiential investigation of the inclusion of the documentary in the educational process with the parallel search in issues of local, oral, public history.

It started in 2015 and continues with great participation and response of the educational community.

The participating school groups attend training meetings during the school year in which:

A. A theoretical approach to documentary is made
B. Oral history is approached
C. Basic principles of filming techniques are developed

At the same time, the teams prepare proposals and scripts which, with the support of the professional collaborators of the Chania Film Festival, are completed in documentaries.

The action continues with new creations from the educational community.
