Author Niki Troullinou meets the poet and her work.
The poet Katina Paizis was born in Anopolis, Sfakion in 1911, lived in Heraklion and died in Athens in 1996. A special poetic voice of the interwar generation, sister of the great actress Aleka Paizis, in recent years she became known with her poem “How much I loved you” which became a song with the voice of Christos Thivaios.
The book includes an anthology of her poems and prose, both from the editions of her books, as well as texts about her life by the author, Niki Troullinou, as well as a part of her correspondence with Nikos Ploumbidis, Yannis Ritsos, Giannis Skaribas, Nikos Kazantzakis, Takis Kalmouchos, Vassos Daskalakis (husband of Elli Alexiou), K. I. Dimara and others, with comments from the editor of the volume.
Niki Troullinou is a writer. He was born in Chania and lives in Heraklion.
