Workshop Description

It is an experiential introduction to the understanding of the mechanisms of digital animation using electronic media. It is a continuation of the Preproduction action that addressed children to create a phylloscope. The purpose of the action is 1/ To inform people about the techniques of drawing and 2/ to train them in the creation of a digital flipbook through its videography.

The workshop is implemented in collaboration between the Chania Film Festival and the InArts Interactive Arts Laboratory of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University. The Scientific Coordinator of the action is Angelos Floros, Assistant Professor of the Ionian University.

 

Short CVs

Maria Kriga was born in Athens. She is a graduate of the Department of Sociology of Panteion University and the School of Visual and Applied Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She also holds a Master's degree in Fine Arts from Northumbria University at Newcastle in the United Kingdom (with a scholarship from the Academy of Athens) on the Theatrical nature of visual arts/hybrid visual applications in theatrical practice. She worked in Secondary Education while since 2019 she is in an EEP position at the Department of Audio and Visual of the Ionian University, participating in the teaching of drawing, video art and image animation, while her research interests focus on the study of Modernist architecture in the Ionian Sea.

 

Martha Gogakou was born in Thessaloniki in 1986. She is a graduate of the School of Fine Arts of the Department of Theater of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2014 she completed her first postgraduate studies at Kingston University of London upon Thames in writing plays and plays for cinema. In 2018-2019 she completed her second master's degree at the Department of Audiovisual Arts of the Ionian University entitled "Audiovisual Arts in the Digital Age". Since 2021 she is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Audiovisual Arts of the Ionian University.
