Summary:

Nadira, an elderly Palestinian woman, has been a refugee since she was 12 years old. Now he is forced to leave Damascus as well. She and her daughter Mona feared for their lives there, but the idea of a safe existence somewhere else seems like a distant dream.

Creator Khaled Jarrar receives disturbing videos and audio messages while crossing the sea to reach Lesvos. There he meets them and walks with them on the long road to a new life.

Khaled Jarrar

Khaled Jarrar was born in Jenin, Occupied Palestine in 1976. He lives and works in Ramallah. Jarrar completed his studies in interior design at the Palestine Polytechnic University in 1996. After graduating he secretly went to Nazareth to work as a carpenter, living as an "illegal" laborer.

In 1998, Jarrar began an intensive military training that resulted in him working for Arafat as his personal guard until his death in 2004. In his quest to create a life between military and artistic activity, Jarrar entered the field of photography in 2005. He graduated from the International Academy of Art in Ramallah, Palestine in 2011 and completed his MFA in Fine Arts at the University of Arizona in 2019.
