Summary:

The 17-year-old Sahar is determined to watch her favorite football team play for the championship. But women are forbidden to attend sporting events, so Sahar disguises herself as a boy with the help of her friends. Things take a tragic turn when her disguise is revealed.
Inspired by true events, "The Recess" explores gender oppression in Iranian society.

His short films have been selected and screened at more than 300 international film festivals, including some accredited by the FIAPF, OSCAR, BAFTA and Goya Awards around the world. It has won 17 awards and 40 nominations at international film festivals.
