Workshop Description

The seminar is about creating works of art in the form of videos during a live cinema performance. The aim of the seminar is for participants to be free to create experimental works of art that come directly from their subconscious. More specifically, on the first day of the seminar, participants are invited, using an original technique, this live recording and projection of flowing color behavior on a moving surface, to create short videos with or without narration. On the second day there will be a presentation and discussion on the resulting projects. Finally, during the two meetings participants are asked to answer a series of questions related to the topic of the process and role of the subconscious as experienced during the seminar.

The workshop is implemented in collaboration between the Chania Film Festival and the InArts Interactive Arts Laboratory of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University. The Scientific Coordinator of the action is Angelos Floros, Assistant Professor of the Ionian University.
