Summary:

A film director, tired of fiction, searches for a meaningful story and clings to an old man who sells lavender on the street: Spyros, a former communist exiled in Tashkent who has returned home after 32 years in exile.

In his village, which he had defended during the war, he witnesses a sell-out of land and ideas, and tries to prevent it. However, it cannot keep pace with the reality it encounters. Isolated. He cannot communicate with his children, with those around him. Only his wife, faithful and patient Penelope, follows him to the end, until his last journey.
